British Airways B747-400 G-BNLC First Flight.

June 28, 1989

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLC made its first flight from Paine Field today.

Leased BAe146-200 N407XV Returned to Lessor.

June 27, 1989

Leased BAe 146-200 N407XV was returned by British Airways Highlands Division to Tracey Leasing today.  It has been flown for the British Airways Highlands Division since 23rd March 1989 to cover for the late delivery of new BAe ATPs.  Since that date it has been operated on the Scottish Highlands and Islands routes by Presidential Airways flight and British Airways cabin crews.  These services were flown with the aircraft in full Presidential Airways livery but with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ titles on its upper forward fuselage.

British Airways A320 G-BUSH Delivered.

June 19, 1989

British Airways A320  G-BUSH was registered by British Airways today and delivered Toulouse – London Heathrow in Landor livery with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ fuselage titles. The aircraft is in CY149 configuration and is named Isle of Jura.

British Airways BAe ATP G-BTPJ Returns from Le Bourget.

June 16, 1989

British Airways BAe ATP G-BTPJ positioned Le Bourget – Woodford today after being on exhibit at the 38th Paris Salon since 10th June.

British Airways BAe ATP G-BTPH Delivered.

June 15, 1989

British Airways took delivery of BAe ATP G-BTPH  at Woodford today.  The aircraft then positioned Woodford – Glasgow and immediately entered service in Landor livery with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ fuselage titles. The aircraft is in 64Y conifiguration,  at this time it has no name.

British Airways BAe ATP G-BTPJ Displayed at Le Bourget.

June 10, 1989

BAe ATP, G-BTPJ, which was registered to British Airways on 2nd September 1988 but is still owned by the manufacturer, was displayed today in the static park at the 38th Paris Salon at Le Bourget in full British Airways Landor livery with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ fuselage titles and the exhibit number ‘320’ on its nose.

British Airways B747-200 G-BDXA Sold and Leased Back.

June 8, 1989

British Airways Boeing 747-236 G-BDXA was sold to Intercredit Corporation today and immediately leased back to the airline.

British Airways B747-200 G-BMGS Begins Caledonian Lease.

June 5, 1989

British Airways Boeing 747-283B, G-BMGS was subleased to Caledonian Airways today.  The aircraft is now painted in Caledonian Airways livery with ‘CALEDONIAN’ titles but still carries its former (British Airways) name, City of Swansea.

June 3, 1989

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLA made its first flight from Paine Field today wearing Boeing test registration N60665.

British Airways ATP G-BTPH First Flight.

June 1, 1989

BAe ATP G-BTPH, registered to British Airways as long ago 2 September 1988 , made its first flight at Woodford today.
