British Airways B757-200 G-BPEA Returns from El Al Lease.

British Airways Boeing 757-236 G-BPEA, which was leased to El Al Israel Airlines on 19 March 1990, operated Tel Aviv – Istanbul – Heathrow today at the end of its lease.  It arrived at London Heathrow in Caledonian Airways livery with Latin and Hebrew script ‘EL AL’ fuselage titles and the Caledonian Airways name Loch of the Clans. After its arrival it entered British Airways Maintenance Heathrow.

British Airways B747-400 G-BLVE Returns to Middle East Airlines.

April 30, 1990

British Airways returned Boeing 747-2B4B Combi G-BLVE to Middle East Airlines today.  It was subleased on 29 April 1985.  Since then it has been operated in Landor livery with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ fuselage titles and the name City of Lincoln.  Middle East Airlines restored its previous registration N202AE.

British Airways L-1011 G-BBAI Returns from Worldways Lease.

British Airways L-1011 TriStar 1 G-BBAI, that has been on sublease to Worldways Airlines as C-FCXJ since 12 December 1989, was returned to Caledonian Airways today.

British Airways B767-300ER G-BNWA Delivered.

British Airways Boeing 767-336ER G-BNWA was delivered today. The aircraft is in Landor livery, is named “City of Brussels” and brings the British Airways B767-300ER fleet up to five aircraft.

British Airways Boeing 767-336ER G-BNWA, which made its first flight on 23 May 1989, was registered to British Airways today and delivered Paine Field – London Heathrow. The aircraft is in Landor livery with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ fuselage titles,  however having been originally painted with the name Severn Bridge it is now named City of Brussels.  Its cabin is configured for CY247 for European routes primarily replacing the L-1011 TriStar. As the first Rolls Royce powered production Boeing 767 it had been retained by the manufacturer for development, testing and certification purposes when it was flown as N6009F.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLI was delivered today. The aircraft is in Landor livery and named “City of Sheffield”

Boeing 747 436, G-BNLI, was registered to British Airways today and delivered Paine Field – London Heathrow. The aircraft is in Landor livery with ‘BRITISH AIRWAYS’ titles.  It is named City of Sheffield.

British Airways L-1011 G-BBAE Re-registered.

British Airways today restored the registration of L-1011 TriStar 1 G-BBAE, which was returned to Caledonian Airways by Worldways Airlines on 10 April 1990.  This aircraft is currently being converted to an L-1011 TriStar 100.

British Airways BAC 1-11 G-BBMF Sold.

British Airways BAC 1-11 401AK G-BBMF, that was withdrawn from use on 31 October 1988 and has been parked at Bournemouth Hurn Airport since 1 November 1988, was sold to Birmingham European Airways today.

British Airways L-1011 G-BBAE Returns from Worldways Lease.

British Airways L-1011 TriStar 1 G-BBAE, which has been on sublease to Worldways Airlines as C-FCXB since 20 December 1989, was returned to Caledonian Airways today.  It was not immediately reregistered as it is intended to convert it to an L-1011 TriStar 100.
