Crew did not have sufficient duty hours on the delayed Abu Dhabi – London Heathrow sector to reach London Heathrow and the aircraft therefore diverted via Frankfurt for a crew change.

Following its diversion yesterday, British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLJ continued the diverted BA59 London Heathrow – Cape Town of 22nd November this morning routing Bloemfontein – Cape Town as BA59X. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA58 Cape Town – London Heathrow as BA58X.

British Airways Boeing 777-236 G-ZZZC arrived into Bahrain in the early hours of this morning as BA124 from Doha (depart Doha 23rd November), however the onward sector to London Heathrow has been delayed overnight after the aircraft returned to the gate due to a technical issue.

British Airways A320 G-EUUB operating BA878 London Heathrow – St Petersburg was over Danish airspace this morning when it turned back to London Heathrow for a safe landing. The flight and the return BA879 were subsequently cancelled. GDS systems are showing “Damaged Aircraft Ground Operations” as the reason for the diversion.

British Airways A320 G-EUUN, which has been under maintenance at London Gatwick since 2nd November, positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as BA9271 early this afternoon and immediately returned to service as BA940 London Heathrow – Dusseldorf. The aircraft has been reconfigured to CY168 Pinnacle.

British Airways B737-400 G-DOCN Returns from Store for Last Hurrah.

British Airways Boeing 737-436 G-DOCN, which has been stored at London Gatwick since 1st November, returned to service this afternoon operating the BA2586/BA2587 London Gatwick – Venice rotation. The aircraft was then withdrawn from service. This brings the Boeing 737-400 fleet down to ten aircraft.

British Airways A319 G-EUPL Returns from Heathrow Maintenance.

British Airways A319 G-EUPL, which has been under maintenance at London Heathrow since 16th October, returned to service this morning operating BA1304 London Heathrow – Aberdeen. However after arriving back at London Heathrow as BA1305 the aircraft returned to the maintenance area.
