British Airways B747-400 G-CIVX Returns from Cardiff Maintenance.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVX, which has been under maintenance at Cardiff-Wales since 24th February, positioned Cardiff-Wales – London Heathrow this afternoon as BA9172. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 14F/70J/30W/185Y to 14F/86J/30W/145Y with Panasonic IFE. It is the ninth of eighteen aircraft to be reconfigured.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVX BA295 Heathrow Technical Return.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVX, which had been under maintenance at London Heathrow since 25th January, returned to service this afternoon operating BA295 London Heathrow – Chicago.  The aircraft was just to the south of Iceland when it turned back to London Heathrow due to a technical issue. The aircraft landed safely on runway 27 Right with just the main body and nose gear deployed but without the wing gear. The aircraft was stopped on the runway for some time causing the airport to adopt single runway operations. The flight has been rescheduled for this evening.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVX Chicago Weather Damage.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVX operated BA295 London Heathrow – Chicago today, however the return BA294 has been delayed overnight after the aircraft sustained damage in storms at Chicago. The flight was subsequently cancelled.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVX Shannon Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier emergency diversion of Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIF to Shannon , British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVX positioned London Heathrow – Shannon as BA9158 this evening in order to continue to diverted BA177 London Heathrow – New York JFK from Shannon – New York JFK.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVX Returns from Maintenance, Suffers BA25 Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVX, which has been under maintenance at London Heathrow since 29th July, returned to service this evening as BA25 London Heathrow – Hong Kong. However the aircraft stopped the climb due to the left main gear not retracting, eventually climbing to 13,000 ft to dump fuel off the Essex coast before returning to London Heathrow. The flight has been delayed overnight.

B747-400 G-CIVX BA286 Medical Emergency.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVX operating BA286 San Francisco – London Heathrow was close to Ayr when it squawked the 7700 emergency code and was vectored direct to London Heathrow due to a medical emergency on board.

British Airways B747-400 G-BYGF Operates Delayed Hong Kong Service.

Following the return of sister G-CIVX to London Heathrow last night, British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BYGF operated yesterday’s delayed BA25 London Heathrow – Hong Kong this afternoon as BA25X and will operate today’s delayed BA26 Hong Kong – London Heathrow as a day flight tomorrow numbered BA26X.
