Following its double diversion yesterday, British Airways A320 G-GATH departed Lisbon this afternoon continuing yesterday’s diverted BA2780 London Gatwick – Funchal, routing Lisbon – Funchal and using BA2780 as its callsign. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA2781 Funchal – London Gatwick.

British Airways A320 G-GATH operating BA2780 London Gatwick – Funchal diverted via Lisbon this evening having failed to get into Funchal due to weather. As a result crew did not have sufficient hours to return to London Gatwick and the return BA2781 has been delayed overnight.

British Airways A320 G-GATH operating BA2688 London Gatwick – Genoa diverted to Milan Linate this morning due to weather at Genoa. The aircraft then positioned Milan Linate – London Gatwick as BA9255. As a result BA2689 Genoa – London Gatwick was cancelled.

British Airways A320 G-GATH was delivered Woensdrecht – London Heathrow as BA9250 this afternoon where it went straight into the maintenance facility. The 2001 vintage aircraft has flown for TACA International Airlines, Go Air, Mandala Airlines, Onur Air and Saudi Arabian Airlines. It is in White Union Flag with Crest livery and will go to London Gatwick after maintenance at London Heathrow.
