British Airways A320 G-GATJ Positions to Heathrow Maintenance.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ, which has been under maintenance at London Gatwick since 12th March, returned to service this morning operating the BA2678/BA2679 London Gatwick – Dubrovnik rotation. The aircraft  thenpositioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow for maintenance late this afternoon as BA9274.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ BA2678 Split Diversion.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ operating BA2678 London Gatwick – Dubrovnik diverted to Split this morning due to weather at Dubrovnik. The return BA2679 operated from Split this evening once passengers had been transferred by road. On arrival at London Gatwick the aircraft entered the maintenance facility.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ Catania Rescue Mission.

Following the A320 technical issue at Catania yesterday, British Airways A320 G-GATJ positioned London Gatwick – Catania as BA9254 this evening in order to operate yesterday’s delayed BA2595 Catania – London Gatwick.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ Continues from Lisbon.

Following its diversion yesterday, British Airways A320 G-GATJ departed Lisbon this afternoon continuing yesterday’s diverted BA2780 London Gatwick – Funchal, routing Lisbon – Funchal as BA88D. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA2781 Funchal – London Gatwick as BA78D.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ BA2626 Marseille Diversion.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ operating BA2626 London Gatwick – Nice diverted via Marseille this evening due to weather at Nice, eventually arriving into Nice after midnight. As a result the return BA2627 was cancelled as crew did not have sufficient hours to return to London.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ Returns from Heathrow Maintenance.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ, which has been at London Heathrow since 31st March, positioned London Heathrow – London Gatwick as BA9251 this morning and returned to service operating BA2576 London Gatwick – Turin. The aircraft was rumoured to be being reconfigured to CY174 at London Heathrow, however BA2576 is shown as having operated in 14J/150Y configuration indicating that the aircraft is still configured CY171.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ BA2714 Gatwick Technical Return.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ operating BA2714 London Gatwick – Malaga stopped the climb at 9,000 ft to the north of Portsmouth when the aircraft failed to pressurise, circled over Biggin Hill to burn fuel and then returned to London Gatwick for a safe landing. During the evening the aircraft positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow for previously scheduled maintenance as BA9279. This is the first visit of a Gatwick based CY171 A320 to London Heathrow.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ Delivered.

British Airways A320 G-GATJ was delivered Woensdrecht – London Gatwick as BA9279 this morning, making several test circuits over Norfolk en route. The aircraft is the second CY171 configuration A320 for London Gatwick and wears White Union Flag with Crest livery. The 2001 vintage machine was new to TACA International Airlines and has also operated for GoAir, Mandala Airlines and Onur Air, and also operated on lease to Saudi Arabian Airlines.
