British Airways A320 G-GATK operated BA2664 London Gatwick – Tenerife South with a four hour delay this evening. The return BA2665 has been delayed overnight which appears to be due to crew not having sufficient hours to operate back to London Gatwick.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, British Airways A320 G-GATK positioned Malaga – London Gatwick late this morning as BA9251 then returned to service operating BA2664 London Gatwick – Tenerife South.

British Airways A320 G-GATK overnighted at Glasgow after arriving as BA2968 from London Gatwick yesterday evening, however its scheduled return to London Gatwick as BA2953 was cancelled early this morning due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Glasgow – London Gatwick early in the afternoon as BA9278.

British Airways A320 G-GATK operating BA2552 London Gatwick – Heraklion was to the south east of Paris this morning when it turned back to London Gatwick for a safe landing. GDS systems cite the diversion as being due to Air Traffic Control issues however there have been media reports that there was a strong smell of cannabis on board.

British Airways A320 G-GATK operating BA2553 Heraklion – London Gatwick diverted to London Stansted this afternoon after London Gatwick was temporarily closed due to runway damage. The aircraft positioned London Stansted – London Gatwick during the evening as BA9257.

Following the diversion of BA2780 London Gatwick – Funchal to Lisbon yesterday, British Airways A320 G-GATK positioned London Gatwick – Lisbon – Funchal as BA9255 this morning in order to operate yesterday’s delayed BA2781 Funchal – London Gatwick using callsign BA9256.

British Airways A320 G-GATK departed Woensdrecht this afternoon on delivery routing Woensdrecht – London Gatwick as BA9270 routing via tests over Suffolk and Norfolk. The 2002 vintage machine is in White Union Flag With Crest Livery and is the first to be delivered in CY171 configuration, It was previously operated by Wizzair.
