Following its diversion on 8th May, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS departed Jeddah in the early hours of this morning continuing the diversted BA263 London Heathrow – Riyadh of 8th May, routing Jeddah – Riyadh as BA263D. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA262 Riyadh – London Heathrow as BA262D.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Operates Delayed Doha Service.

Following the technical return of yesterday’s BA123 London Heathrow – Doha to London Heathrow, the delayed  service was operated this evening as BA123D by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS. The aircraft will operate today’s BA122 Doha – London Heathrow tomorrow as BA122D.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS BA82 Barcelona Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS operating BA82 Abuja – London Heathrow diverted via Barcelona this afternoon squawking the 7700 emergency code. GDS systems are showing the diversion being due to a “flight deck crew shortage”. The aircraft was able continued after an hour and forty minutes on the groumd.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Overnight Nairobi Delay.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS operated BA65 London Heathrow – Nairobi with a 2 hour delay this afternoon after it was substituted in to operate the flight at short notice. The delay meant the aircraft was unable to turn around at Nairobi before an overnight runway closure due to works. The aircraft will therefore overnight at Nairobi.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Positions to Cardiff Maintenance.

Brtish Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS, which has been at the London Heathrow maintenance facility since arriving from Shannon on 29th November following its technical diversion on 23rd November, positioned London Heathrow – Cardiff-Wales for further attention this afternoon as BA9173.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Resumes Nairobi Service.

Following the fire at Nairobi airport on 7th August, British Airways resumed service on the London Heathrow – Nairobi route today with Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS operating the BA65/BA64 London Heathrow – Nairobi roation.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Operates Delayed Mumbai Service.

Following the technical issue encountered by sister G-VIIX yesterday, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS operated yesterday’s delayed BA199 London Heathrow – Mumbai early this afternoon as BA199X and will operate today’s BA198 Mumbai – London Heathrow tomorrow morning as BA198D.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Returns from Cardiff Maintenance.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS, which has been under maintenance at Cardiff-Wales since 2nd May, positioned Cardiff-Wales – London Heathrow this afternoon as BA9172 and immediately entered service as BA239 London Heathrow – Boston. The aircraft has been fitted with New First, upgraded Economy and Premium Economy cabins and THALES AVOD. This completes both the Boeing 777-200/200ER refurbishment programme and the New First programme. Fourteen Boeing 747-400s remain with Old First.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Positions to Cardiff Maintenance.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS positioned London Heathrow – Cardiff-Wales this afternoon as BA9170. This was the last unrefurbished 4 Class Boeing 777-200ER in traffic and therefore from today all 4 Class Boeing 777-200/Boeing 777-200ER flights will feature New First.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Delivered.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS was delivered today. The aircraft is in Chelsea Rose World Images livery and brings the British Airways Boeing 777-200ER fleet up to eighteen aircraft.

British Airways B777-200ER G-YMMG Shannon Rescue Mission.

Following the technical diversion of sister G-VIIS to Shannon, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMG positioned London Heathrow – Shannon as BA9151 late tonight in order to continue the diverted BA173 London Heathrow – New York JFK.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLI Returns from New York JFK.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLI, which diverted to New York JFK last night, returned to service this evening operating BA176 New York JFK – London Heathrow. The aircraft was pressed into service due to the diversion of B777-200ER G-VIIS to Shannon whilst operating BA173 London Heathrow – New York JFK.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIC Returns from Cardiff Maintenance.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-CIIV, which has been under maintenance at Cardiff-Wales since 3rd April, positioned Cardiff-Wales – London Heathrow this afternoon as BA9174. The aircraft is confirmed as being fitted with New First, refurbished Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins and THALES IFE. This means that G-VIIS is now the only B777-200ER in traffic which has not undergone the refurbishment.

Cairo Goes A321.

The BA155/BA154 London Heathrow – Cairo rotation switched from B777-200 to A321 operation today, thus switching from a 4 Class to a 2 Class service, and at the same time switched from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1 at London Heathrow. Today’s first service from Terminal 1 was operated by G-MEDL. Yesterday’s final B777-200 operation was flown by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS.
