British Airways A321 G-EUXG operated BA890 London Heathrow – Sofia this morning, however it was unable to operate the return BA891 due to a technical issue which caused fumes in the cockpit on approach to Sofia.

Following its diversion yesterday, British Airways A321 G-EUXG departed Athens this afternoon continuing yesterday’s diverted BA9228 London Heathrow – Lemnos charter, routing Athens – Lemnos as BA9228. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA9229 Lemnos – London Heathrow charter.

Following its diversion last night, British Airways A321 G-EUXG departed Venice this afternoon operating this morning’s BA543 Bologna – London Heathrow as a Venice – London Heathrow service BA543D.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, British Airways A321 G-EUXG positioned Paris CDG – Glasgow as BA9276 this morning and returned to service this afternoon operating BA1497 Glasgow – London Heathrow.

Following the diversion of yesterday’s BA460 London Heathrow – Madrid to Bordeaux, British Airways A321 G-EUXG positioned London Heathrow – Bordeaux this morning as BA9251 in order to continue the diverted service, routing Bordeaux – Madrid using BA460 as its callsign. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA461 Madrid – London Heathrow.

British Airways A321 G-EUXG operating BA712 London Heathrow – Zurich diverted to Geneva this morning due to weather at Zurich. The aircraft then positioned Geneva – London Heathrow as BA9252. As a result BA713 Zurich – London Heathrow was cancelled.

British Airways A321 G-EUXG BA740 Lyon Diversion.

British Airways A321 G-EUXG operating BA740 London Heathrow – Geneva diverted via Lyon this morning due to weather at Geneva. The flight continued after four hours on the ground at Lyon, however crew did not have sufficient hours to operate BA741 Geneva – London Heathrow so this has been delayed overnight.

British Airways A319 G-DBCG Positions to and Returns From Prestwick Maintenance.

British Airways A319 G-DBCG positioned London Heathrow – Prestwick as  BA9272 early this evening then returned to London Heathrow as BA9273 late at night. This was due to an issue with A321 G-EUXG, which was scheduled to return to London Heathrow this evening but which will require further attention at Prestwick.

British Airways A321 G-EUXG, which has been under maintenance at Madrid since 29th July, positioned Madrid – London Heathrow as BA9272 this evening. The aircraft has been repainted but we await confirmation that it now carries Union Flag with Crest livery.

British Airways A321 G-EUXG, which has been under maintenance at London Heathrow since 21st July, has been damaged in the paint hangar due to items falling from the roof of the hangar onto the wing.

British Airways A321 G-EUXG operating BA851 Warsaw - London Heathrow encountered a further fumes incident this evening when crew needed to don oxygen masks on approach to London Heathrow.
