British Airways A380 G-XLEC, which has been under maintenance at Manila since 11th March, positioned Manila – Angeles City Clark in the early hours of this morning as BA9170. The aircraft then positioned Angeles City Clark – Singapore as BA9171 early in the evening and returned to service operating BA12 Singapore – London Heathrow.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC Positions to London Gatwick.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC positioned London Heathrow – London Gatwick as BA9171 this evening. This is to be in place to position London Gatwick – Manila for maintenance early tomorrow. The required arrival time in Manila meaning a middle of the night departure from London which is not possible from London Heathrow.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC Leaves Manila Maintenance for Kuala Lumpur.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC, which has been under maintenance at Manila since 2nd August, positioned Manila – Kuala Lumpur as BA9172 in the early hours of this morning. This was the first British Airways A380 at Kuala Lumpur. During the evening the aircraft positioned Kuala Lumpur – Singapore as BA9171 then returned to service operating BA12 Singapore – London Heathrow.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC BA12 Manchester Diversion.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC operating BA12 Singapore – London Heathrow (depart Singapore 27th March) diverted to Manchester this morning due to high winds at London Heathrow. The aircraft positioned Manchester – London Heathrow early in the evening as BA9155.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC Durban Training Day.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC positioned Johannesburg – Durban as BA9160 this morning in order to operate training circuits as BA9161 – BA9164. The aircraft then positioned Durban – Johannesburg as BA9169.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC London Heathrow Technical Issue.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC arrived into London Heathrow as BA56 from Johannesburg early this morning, however a technical issue became apparent which prevented the aircraft from operating an outbound service today. It was decided to switch BA55 London Heathrow – Johannesburg to Boeing 747-400 operation this evening.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC Durban Training Day.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC arrived into Johannesburg as BA55 from London Heathrow this morning then positioned Johannesburg – Durban as BA9160 to operate training circuits as BA9161, BA9162, BA9163 and BA9164. The aircraft then positioned Durban – Johannesburg as BA9169.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC BA282 Toronto and Shannon Diversions.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC operating BA282 Los Angeles – London Heathrow (depart Los Angeles 18th June) diverted via Toronto in the early hours of this morning due to water pressure issues. The aircraft required checks at Toronto due to an overweight landing and continued to London after around four hours on the ground, however crew did not have sufficient hours to reach London and so diverted to Shannon. During the evening the aircraft continued Shannon – London Heathrow, however passengers had already been collected by two Boeing 767-300ERs.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC BA269 Keflavik Diversion.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC operating BA269 London Heathrow – Los Angeles diverted via Keflavik due to a medical emergency on board. The aircraft landed overweight but was cleared to continue after around three hours on the ground. This was the first appearance of a BA A380 at Keflavik.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC Operates One-Off BA1026.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC operated Hong Kong – London Heathrow as BA1026 tonight to the timings of the regular BA26 rotation. This was a one-0ff renumbering caused by the timetable and overnight clock changes.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC Delivered.

British Airways A380 G-XLEC was delivered Toulouse – London Heathrow this afternoon as BA380. This brings the BA A380 fleet up to three aircraft.
