British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK Withdrawn.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK was withdrawn from service at London Heathrow this morning after arriving as BA58 from Cape Town. This reduces the Boeing 747-400 fleet to 34 aircraft. The aircraft was in 14F/52J/36W/235Y configuration and wore White Union Flag with Crest livery on withdrawal.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK BA247 Viracopos Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK operating BA247 London Heathrow – Sao Paulo (depart London Heathrow 5th June) diverted to Viracopos this morning due to weather at Sao Paulo. The aircraft later continued Viracopos – Sao Paulo as cargo flight BA247F before operating BA246 Sao Paulo – London Heathrow as BA9602.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK Overnight Houston Delay.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK operated BA195 London Heathrow – Houston this afternoon, however due to the late operation of yesterday’s BA195 there is no crew available at Houston to operate the return  BA194. The aircraft will therefore overnight at Houston.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK New York JFK Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK arrived into New York JFK as BA179 from London Heathrow this evening. However the aircraft then encountered a technical issue which prevented it from operating back to London Heathrow this evening and causing a re-shuffle of the JFK aircraft departures.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK New York JFK Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK operated BA175 London Heathrow – New York JFK today, however it was unable to operate the return BA172 due to a technical issue. Sister G-CIVH which arrived into New York JFK as BA183 from London Heathrow was turned around to operate BA172 rather than overnighting and operating BA178 tomorrow morning.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK Cardiff Test Flight

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK, which has been out of service at London Heathrow since 17th March, positioned London Heathrow – Cardiff-Wales early this evening as BA9175, then immediately positioned back to London Heathrow as BA9176.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLK Returns from Cardiff Maintenance.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK, which has been under maintenance at Cardiff-Wales since 8th January, positioned Cardiff-Wales – London Heathrow this afternoon as BA9171. There have been reports that the aircraft experienced an engine issue and returned to Cardiff-Wales, however we have tracked the aircraft via various sources all of which show it continuing to London Heathrow.

British Airways Riyadh Service Switches to B747-400 Operation.

British Airways London Heathrow – Riyadh BA263/BA262 services switched from Boeing 777-200ER to Boeing 747-400 operation today and were also re-timed to operate around 7 hours earlier in each direction. Yesterday’s final Boeing 777-200ER rotation was operated by G-VIIC and today’s first Boeing 747-400 flights by G-BNLK.

B747-400 G-BNLK Returns from JFK.

Following its technical issue on 21st August British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK positioned New York JFK – London Heathrow in the early hours of this morning as BA9174.

B747-400 G-BNLK JFK Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLK operated BA117 London Heathrow – New York JFK today however the return BA174 was cancelled indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.
