British Airways B747-400 G-BYGB BA294 Chicago Technical Return.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BYGB operating BA294 Chicago – London Heathrow was unable to retract its landing gear this evening and stopped the climb at 15,000ft before returning to Chicago for a safe landing. After two hours on the ground the aircraft was able to depart again.

British Airways B747-400 G-BYGB Overnight Kuwait Delay.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BYGB arrived into Kuwait this morning as BA157 from London Heathrow (depart London Heathrow 15th January), however the return BA156 has been delayed until the early hours of tomorrow morning. This was known well ahead of the aircraft’s arrival into Kuwait and so appears to be crew related.

British Airways B747-400 G-BYGB Returns from Cardiff Maintenance.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BYGB, which has been under maintenance at Cardiff-Wales since 21st June, positioned Cardiff-Wales – London Heathrow this evening as BA9174. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 14F/70J/30W/185Y to 14F/86J/30W/145Y with Panasonic IFE. It is the last of the eighteen aircraft to be so reconfigured.

British Airways B747-400 G-BYGB Boston Cancellation.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BYGB operated BA213 London Heathrow – Boston this afternoon, however the return BA212 was cancelled with a technical issue flagged in CRS systems. Nonetheless the aircraft did position Boston – London Heathrow late at night using BA212 as its callsign.

B747-400 G-BYGB BA247 Viracopos Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BYGB operating BA247 London Heathrow – Sao Paulo (depart London Heathrow 31st August) diverted via Viracopos for fuel this morning due to long hold times at Sao Paulo owing to weather.
