British Airways B747-400 G-CIVU BA242 Mexico City Technical Return.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVU operating BA242 Mexico City – London Heathrow stopped the climb at 12,000 ft this evening (4,000 ft above the 8,000 ft altitude airport at Mexico City) due to a cabin pressurisation issue, entered two holds to burn fuel whilst climbing to 15,000 ft before returning to Mexico City two hours after take off. After two hours on the ground the aircraft was able to depart again and succesfully completed the flight.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVU Cape Town Flight Switch.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVU arrived into Cape Town this morning as BA43 from London Heathrow (depart London Heathrow 15th March), however this evening it operated yesterday’s delayed BA42 Cape Town – London Heathrow as BA42D. As a result tonight’s BA42 has been delayed overnight.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVU Returns from JFK.

British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVU preparing to operate BA285 London Heathrow – San Francisco encountered a technical issue prior to departure. This was eventually rectified, however crew did not have sufficient hours to reach San Francisco and the flight was therefore delayed overnight.

British Airways B747-400 G-CIVU Returns from Heathrow Repaint.

British Airways B747-436 G-CIVU, which has been under maintenance at London Heathrow since 24th February, returned to service today as BA59 London Heathrow – Cape Town. The aircraft has been repainted and now wears Union Flag with Crest livery.
