British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Gander Rescue Mission.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK overnighted at Boston after arriving as BA239 from London Heathrow late yesterday evening, however following the Boeing 777-200ER technical diversion to Gander late last night, this morning’s return BA238 was cancelled and the aircraft instead positioned Boston – Gander as BA9156 in order to take over yesterday’s diverted BA112 New York JFK – London Heathrow, routing Gander – London Heathrow this afternoon using the BA112 callsign.

BritishA irways B777-200ER G-VIIK Returns from Gatwick Base.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as BA9159 this morning after arriving as BA2232 from Bermuda. The aircraft then operated BA227 London Heathrow – Atlanta. The aircraft had been operating from London Gatwick since 5th May.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Returns from Gatwick Base.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as BA9150 this morning after arriving as BA2270 from Toronto. The aircraft then operated BA460 London Heathrow – Madrid. The aircraft had been operating from London Gatwick since 5th March.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK BA232 Copenhagen

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK operating BA232 Moscow Domodedovo – London Heathrow diverted to Copenhagen this evening. This has been reported as due to a medical emergency but this is not yet confirmed. The aircraft will overnight at Copenhagen which may be due to crew timing out.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Trapped at St Lucia.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK operated the Port of Spain – St Lucia sector of BA2158 Port of Spain – St Lucia – London Gatwick this evening, however whilst the aircraft was on the ramp at St Lucia a Virgin Atlantic A330-300 went off the runway whilst taxiing forcing the closure of the airport. Therefore the onward BA2158 sector has been delayed overnight.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Toronto Cancellation.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK operated BA99 London Heathrow – Toronto with a six hour delay late tonight with the return BA98 being cancelled. The aircraft then operated back to London Heathrow as BA9608 which would normally indicate a passenger carrying service.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK BA123 Heathrow Technical Return.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK operating BA123 London Heathrow – Doha was at 27,000 ft over the English Channel close to Deal when it turned back to London Heathrow for a safe landing due to a strong electrical burning smell. The flight was subsequently delayed overnight.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Overnight Mumbai Delay.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK arrived into Mumbai as BA199 from London Heathow (depart London Heathrow 3rd June) this morning, however  the return BA198 has been delayed overnight due to a 24 hour delay of BA199 on 2nd June which means there is no rested crew available in Mumbai.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Positioning Flight.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK arrived into this morning Mumbai as BA199 from London Heathrow (depart London 2nd July). However, today’s return BA198 Mumbai – London Heathrow was operated by the delayed Boeing 777-300ER from yesterday’s scheduled BA199 arrival, G-VIIK instead positioned Mumbai – London Heathrow as BA9152.

B777-200ER G-VIIK Operates Delayed BA83.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK operated yesterday’s delayed BA83 London Heathrow – Abuja this evening using callsign BA83X and will operate today’s scheduled BA82 Abuja – London Heathrow tomorrow as BA82X.

A321 G-EUXE Shannon Rescue Mission.

Following the diversion of Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK to Shannon earlier this morning whilst operating BA66 Philadelphia – London Heathrow due to smoke in the cockpit, British Airways A321 G-EUXE positioned London Heathrow – Shannon as BA9256 in order to continue BA66 Shannon – London Heathrow.

B777-200ER G-VIIK BA66 Shannon Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK operating BA66 Philadelphia – London Heathrow (depart Philadelphia 1st December) diverted to Shannon this morning due to smoke in the cockpit.

Gatwick B777-200ER Latest.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK continued to operate from London Gatwick today operating the BA2157/BA2156 London Gatwick – Antigua –Tobago rotation today. Sister G-VIIP remained out of service.

Gatwick 777-200ER Operations Latest.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIO returned to service today and operated yesterday’s BA2039/BA2038 London Gatwick – Orlando rotation. G-VIIP remained out of service and G-VIIK remained on loan from London Heathrow and operated the BA2233/BA2232 London Gatwick – Bermuda rotation. This meant one flight had to be delayed overnight and this was the BA2167/BA2166 London Gatwick – Tampa rotation.

G-VIIK Operates from London Gatwick.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK positioned London Heathrow – London Gatwick as BA9152 this afternoon in order to operate this evening’s BA2043 London Gatwick – Male. There appears to have been issues with both G-VIIO and G-VIIP with neither operating outbound services yesterday. As a result BA2039 London Gatwick – Orlando has been delayed overnight.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIK Delivered.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIK was delivered today. The aircraft is in Animals and Trees World Images livery and brings the British Airways Boeing 777-200ER fleet up to eleven aircraft.
