British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX BA2204 Lajes Medical Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX operating BA2204 Punta Cana – London Gatwick (depart Punta Cana 16th July) diverted via Lajes early this morning due to a medical emergency on board. The aircraft remained at Lajes until the evening due to crew rest limitations when it continued to London Gatwick.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Returns from Singapore Maintenance.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX, which has been under maintenance at Singapore since 2nd January, positioned Singapore – London Gatwick early this afternoon as BA9178. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 14F/48J/40W/124Y to 32J/52W/252Y with ten abreast seating in Economy Class and updated IFE. The Premium Economy cabin has been increased from 48W to 52W from the original announcement of this new configuration.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Returns from Port of Spain.

Following its overnight stay, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX departed Port of Spain late this morning operating yesterday’s delayed BA2158 Port of Spain – St Lucia – London Gatwick as BA9607 from Port of Spain – St Lucia and BA9608 St Lucia – London Gatwick.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Operates BA2159 Direct to Port of Spain.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX operating BA2159 London Gatwick – St Lucia – Port of Spain operated direct to Port of Spain this afternoon due to Hurricane Maria. As Port of Spain is not a crew base the aircraft will therefore overnight at Port of Spain and operate back tomorrow with the same crew.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Returns from Gatwick Base.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX, which has been operating from London Gatwick since October 11th 2016, positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as BA9152 early this afternoon after arriving as BA2154 from Bridgetown. The aircraft then entered service from London Heathrow operating BA93 London Heathrow – Toronto.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Continues from Antigua.

Following its weather diversion yesterday, G-VIIX departed Antigua this morning continuing yesterday’s diverted BA2155 London Gatwick – Bridgetown, routing Antigua – Bridgetown as BA9601. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed BA2154 Bridgetown – London Gatwick.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Returns from Gatwick Base.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX, which has been operating from London Gatwick since February 28th 2015, positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as BA9157 this afternoon after arriving as BA2204 from Punta Cana. The aircraft immediately entered service from London Heathrow operating BA203 London Heathrow – Boston.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX BA2159 London Gatwick Medical Return.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX operating the London Gatwick – St Lucia sector of BA2159 London Gatwick – St Lucia – Port of Spain was close to Truro at 36,000 ft this morning when it turned back to London Gatwick due to a medical emergency on board. The aircraft was able to depart again shortly thereafter.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Operates Non-Etops Bermuda Rotation.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX operated the BA2233/BA2232 London Gatwick – Bermuda rotation via a non-Etops routing today to a leak on one engine’s air conditioning pack requiring it to be locked out. The aircraft is good to fly but not-Etops rated in that condition. Both flights took just over eight hours instead of the usual six and a half hours.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Returns from Gatwick Base.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX, which has been operating from London Gatwick since June 15th, positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as BA9154 this morning after arriving as BA2166 from Tampa. The aircraft then returned to service from London Heathrow operating BA197 London Heathrow – Houston.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX St Lucia Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX operating BA2159 London Gatwick – St Lucia – Port of Spain arrived into St Lucia this afternoon, however the onward flight to Port of Spain was cancelled due to a technical issue. As a result the Port of Spain – St Lucia sector of the return BA2158 was cancelled and the St Lucia – London Gatwick sector delayed overnight.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIS Operates Delayed Mumbai Service.

Following the technical issue encountered by sister G-VIIX yesterday, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIS operated yesterday’s delayed BA199 London Heathrow – Mumbai early this afternoon as BA199X and will operate today’s BA198 Mumbai – London Heathrow tomorrow morning as BA198D.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Returns from Cardiff Maintenance – Goes Tech.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX, which has been under maintenance at Cardiff-Wales since 28th July, positioned Cardiff-Wales – London Heathrow this afternoon as BA9172. The aircraft was scheduled to operate BA199 London Heathrow – Mumbai however it returned to the stand at Heathrow due to a hydraulic leak. The flight has been delayed overnight.

BA137/BA136 Temporary B777-200ER Switch.

The BA137/BA136 London Heathrow – Freetown – Monrovia rotation was operated by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX this evening in place of the usual Boeing 767-300ER. This is a temporary upgrade to cover a period where navigation equipment is being replaced at Freetown and will continue for around two weeks.

B777-200ER G-VIIX BA212 Gander Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX operating BA212 Boston – London Heathrow diverted via Gander this evening.  The diversion appears to have been medical.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIX Delivered.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIX was delivered today. The aircraft is in Union Flag livery and brings the British Airways Boeing 777-200ER fleet up to twenty three aircraft.
