British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLX was withdrawn from service at London Heathrow this morning after arriving as BA42 from Cape Town. The aircraft then positioned London Heathrow – Cardiff-Wales as BA9172 for decommissioning. This reduces the Boeing 747-400 fleet to 40 aircraft. The aircraft was in 14F/52J/36W/235Y configuration with “Old First” and Union Flag livery on withdrawal.
