British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBB operated the BA45/BA44 London Heathrow – Cape Town rotation tonight in place of the usual B777-200ER. This was due to the earlier A380 technical issue at London Heathrow which caused a B747-400 to operate the BA55/BA56 London Heathrow – Johannesburg rotation in place of an A380. The return BA56 is overbooked for the B747-400 and so some passengers will be transferred from Johannesburg – Cape Town via Comair tomorrow and then fly Cape Town – London Heathrow aboard G-STBB as BA44.
