UK Domestic







UK Domestic Services operate from London Heathrow to Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, from London Gatwick to Glasgow and Edinburgh and from London City to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Isle of Man via subsidiary airline BA Cityflyer.


Seat: Seats with 30-34" pitch in 3-3 arrangement. (2-3-2 arrangement on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft) on mainline services. Seats with 30-30” pitch in 2-2 arrangement on BA Cityflyer Services.

Seat Allocation: The following passengers can select any seats free of charge via Manage My Booking at ba.com from the time of booking: British Airways Executive Club Gold (OneWorld Emerald) members. British Airways Executive Club Silver (OneWorld Ruby) members. Passengers holding fully flexible tickets in Booking Classes Y, J and C. Passengers with disabilities and/or additional needs. Passengers travelling with infants.

All other passengers can pay to select standard seats from the time of booking until 24 hours before departure for the following rates:
GBP10, EUR12, USD15 per seat per sector.

Once online check in opens 24 hours before departure all passengers can select seats free of charge.

Baggage Allowance:  One piece of checked baggage of up to 23kg. One piece of hand baggage plus one laptop sized bag, briefcase of handbag.

Check-in: Check in online from 24 hours before departure. Standard check in and bag drop areas at airports.

Security: UK Domestic passengers use standard Security lines.

Lounges: UK Domestic passengers get no lounge access unless travelling on full fare Y or J class tickets or hold British Airways Executive Club Gold or Silver (or OneWorld Emerald or Ruby) frequent flyer cards.

Catering: Free bar with sweet or savoury snack. Hot breakfast on flights departing before 10:00 Monday - Friday.

European Routes

European routes operate from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports and also from London City via the subsidiary airline BA Cityflyer.

Mainline services are operated by a fleet of Boeing 737-400, Boeing 767-300ER and Airbus A319, A320 and A321 aircraft. Business and Economy Class is offered under the Club Europe and Euro Traveller brands.


Available on European and shorthaul routes from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Seat: Seats with 30" - 34” pitch in convertible cabins with a moveable divider. Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft have seats in 1x1-1x1 arrangement with a table covering the unused middle seats.

Boeing 767-300 operate in 2-2-2 configuration with the middle DEF seats collapsing to make seat D and seat F wider with seat E unused.

Baggage Allowance: Two pieces of checked baggage of up to 32kg each.

Lounges: Club Europe passengers are permitted to access lounges but these are not available at all outstations.

Catering: Catering depends on the length of the flight with European flights divided into the following bands:

Available on European and shorthaul routes from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Seat: Seats with 30-34" pitch in convertible cabins with a moveable divider from the Club Europe cabin. On Boeing 737-400, Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft the first row of Euro Traveller on the left side of the aircraft can be in Club Europe configuration. Seats which can be converted to Club Europe configuration offer greater legroom.

Available on all longhaul routes from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Seat: Seats with 38" pitch and 7 inch recline. Seats arranged in 2-2-2 layout on Boeing 767-300 aircraft, 2-3-2 layout on Boeing 787-8 and A380 aircraft and  2-4-2 layout on Boeing 777-200, Boeing 777-300 and Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

Passengers can pay to select exit row seats from 14 days before departure until 4 days before departure for the following rates: GBP50, EUR60, USD75.

Once online check in opens 24 hours before depature all passengers can select seats free of charge.

Check-in: Check in online from 24 hours before departure. There are no special World Traveller Plus check in areas at airports.

Security: World Traveller Plus passengers use standard Security lines.

Lounges: World Traveller Plus does not afford any lounge access.

Catering: Standard Economy Class catering and free bar available on all flights.

IFE: All aircraft feature Audio Video on Demand.

World Traveller:

Available on all longhaul routes from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Seat: Seats with 31" pitch in 2-3-2 arrangement on Boeing 767-300 aircraft, 3-3-3 arrangement on Boeing 777-200, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8 aircraft, 3-4-3 arrangement on Boeing 747-400 aircraft, 3-4-3 arrangement on A380 aircraft on the main deck and 2-4-2 arrangement on A380 aircraft on the upper deck.

Worldwide Flights


Worldwide flights operate from London Heathrow and London Gatwick on the following routes. Flights offer either Four Class service with First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins, Three Class service with Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins or Two Class Service with Club World and World Traveller cabins. The Club World London City service to New York JFK is a Business Class only service.


First Class:


Baggage Allowance: Three pieces of checked baggage of up to 23kg per piece.

Seat Allocation: All passengers can pre-book seat
s free of charge from the time of booking via Manage My Booking at ba.com

* Please note that seats 1A and 1K on Boeing 747-400 aircraft can only be booked by Gold British Airways Executive Club (or OneWorld Emerald) members. If trying to book both seats 1A and 1K for a party of two then both passengers must be Gold British Airways Executive Club (or OneWorld Emerald) members.

Check-in: Check in online from 24 hours before departure. There are dedicated First Check In and bag drop areas at all ports served by BA First.

Security: Fast track security is available at London Heathrow, London Gatwick and selected other ports.

Lounges: Lounges are available at all ports served by BA First. Concorde Room lounges are available at London Heathrow Terminal 5 and New York JFK.

Support: For UK residents booked in British Airways First, You First, a dedicated support team is available on 0800 408 7667.

Catering: Top notch catering and free bar available on all flights.

IFE: Audio Visual On Demand on all aircraft except A318 where pre-loaded Ipads are supplied.

Arrival: Arrival lounges are available at London Heathrow Terminal 5 and London Gatwick.


Club World:


Available on all longhaul routes from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Seat: Lie flat seats are available on widebody aircraft in a unique yin-yang arrangement with half the passengers facing backwards. Boeing 767-300 aircraft feature the original version of this seat in 2-2-2 arrangement. Boeing 777-200 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft feature 2-4-2 arrangement. Boeing 747-400 aircraft feature 2-4-2 arrangement on the main deck and 2-2 arrangement on the upper deck. Boeing 787-8 aircraft feature 2-3-2 arrangement. A380 aircraft feature 2-4-2 arrangement on the lower deck and 2-3-2 arrangement on the upper deck.


Airbus A321 services to medium haul destinations feature forward facing lie flat seats in a 1-2/2-1 arrangement.

All other passengers can pay to select seats from the time of booking until 24 hours before departure for the following rates: GBP60, EUR70, USD90 per seat per sector. Upper deck seats on Boeing 747-400 aircraft can be pre-selected for GBP80, USD120 per seat per sector.

Security: Fast track security is available at London Heathrow, London Gatwick and selected other ports.

Sleeper Service: On overnight services from Dubai and Eastern USA ports a sleeper service is offered with a full meal in the lounge in order to maximise sleep time on board.

Catering: Dedicated on board catering and free bar available on all flights.

IFE: All aircraft feature Audio/Video on Demand with individual screens.


Arrival: An arrivals lounge is available at London Heathrow Terminal 5.
