Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMD arrived into Buenos Aires today as BA245 from London Heathrow however its return flight  BA244 to London Heathrow has been delayed by 24 hours.

31st January 2012 - G-DOCN BA2564 Venice Diversion.

Boeing 737-436 G-DOCN operating BA2564 London Heathrow - Bologna diverted via Venice this evening due to weather eventually arriving into Bologna after midnght.

31st January 2012 - G-DOCV Returns to Gatwick.

Boeing 737-436 G-DOCV positioned Geneva - London Gatwick this afternoon as BA9270.

31st January 2012 - G-DOCV Geneva Issue.

Boeing 737-436 G-DOCV operated BA2736 London Gatwick - Geneva this morning but the return BA2737 has been cancelled. Whilst there were weather delays at Geneva this morning there were only two cancelled flights so this appears to be a technical issue.

The BA678/BA679 London Heathrow - Istanbul and BA2648/BA2649 London Gatwick - Tirana rotations were cancelled today.

Boeing 777-236 G-ZZZA operated the Abu Dhabi - London Heathrow sector of yesterday’s BA72 this morning as BA72X.

30th January 2012 - G-ZZZA BA72 Abu Dhabu Delay.

Boeing 777-236 G-ZZZA operated the Muscat - Abu Dhabi sector of BA72 this morning but the onward flight to London Heathrow has been delayed by 24 hours due to an Etihad Airbus A330-200 taking out several runway lights and the runway being closed.

30th January 2012 - G-BNWS Geneva Technical Issue.

Boeing 767-336ER G-BNWS operated BA736 London Heathrow - Geneva today however the return BA737 was cancelled due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

29th January 2012 - Gatwick Non Ops.

The BA2748/BA2749 London Gatwick - Geneva and BA2768/BA2769 London Gatwick - Dubrovnik rotations did not operate today.

29th January 2012 - G-EUXE Return to Stand.

Airbus A321 G-EUXE had to return to stand at London Heathrow when departing as BA392 to Brussels due to a fuel leak. The aircraft was eventually able to operate the flight with a delay of around 4 hours.

27th January 2012 - Euro Cancellations.

The BA578/BA579 London Heathrow - Venice , BA554/BA555 London Heathrow - Rome Fiumicino and BA2596/BA2597 London Gatwick - Verona did not operate today.

26th January 2012 - A320 Prestwick Maintenance Swap.

Airbus A320 G-EUUO positioned London Heathrow - Prestwick this afternoon as BA9278. Sister G-EUUD positioned Prestwick - London Heathrow as BA9279.

25th January 2012 - G-CIVV Beijing Delay.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVV arrived into Beijing today as BA39 from London Heathrow however the return BA38 has been delayed by 24 hours and will operate as BA38D tomorrow.

25th January 2012 - G-VIIL Returns to Heathrow.

Following yesterday’s diversion to Shannon Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIL positioned Shannon - London Heathrow as BA9159 today and re-entered service as BA155 London Heathrow - Cairo.

24th January 2012 - G-VIIL BA297 Shannon Diversion.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIL operating BA297 London Heathrow - Chicago was en route over the Atlantic when smoke appeared in the cabin and the aircraft declared PAN and diverted to Shannon. Sister G-YMMN positioned London Heathrow - Shannon as BA9158 in order to continue the flight.

23rd January 2012 - G-EUYA St Petersburg Technical Issue.

Airbus A320 G-EUYA arrived into St Petersburg today as BA878 but the return BA879 has been cancelled owing to a technical issue relating to the hydraulic systems.

Miami technical issue aircraft Boeing 747-436 G-CIVP departed for London Heathrow this evening as BA9601.

22nd January 2012 - G-CIVL Returns from Cardiff Maintenance.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVL positioned Cardiff-Wales - London Heathrow today as BA9172. This aircraft is confirmed as fitted with New First.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVP arrived into Miami today as BA207 but the return BA206 has been cancelled indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

19th January 2012 - G-BZHA BA874 Heathrow Return.

Boeing 767-336ER G-BZHA operating BA874 London Heathrow - Moscow Domedodovo was was overhead Osnabruck at 35,000ft when it turned and returned to London Heathrow. The flight was cancelled as was the return BA875 Moscow Domedodovo - London Heathrow.

The BA69/BA68 London Heathrow - Philadelphia rotation was cancelled today.

19th January 2012 - G-VIIY Returns to Heathrow.

Having operated a single London Gatwick - Bermuda rotation Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIY positioned London Gatwick - London Heathrow this morning.

18th January 2012 - G-BNLW Returns to Heathrow.

Boeing 747-436 G-BNLW departed Washington this evening as BA9173 to London Heathrow.

18th January 2012 - G-CIVJ Returns to Heathrow.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVJ departed Houston this evening as BA9610 to London Heathrow.

18th January 2012 - G-BNWD BA663 Larnaca Delay.

Boeing 767-336ER G-BNWD arrived into Larnaca today as BA662 from London Heathrow but the return BA663 has been delayed until tomorrow. Flights were already delayed due to a four hour Cypriot Air Traffic Controllers strike but we have received reports that this delay is weather related.

18th January 2012 - Jersey Weather Chaos.

BA2772 London Gatwick - Jersey operated by Boeing 737-436 G-DOCF and BA2774 London Gatwick - Jersey operated by sister G-DOCY both returned to London Gatwick due to weather at Jersey. As a result the BA2773 and BA2775 Jersey - London Gatwick return sectors were cancelled. The BA2776/BA2777 London Gatwick - Jersey rotation was subsequently cancelled as was the BA2778 London Gatwick - Jersey, meaning tomorrow’s BA2769 Jersey - London Gatwick will also not operate.

18th January 2012 - G-VIIY to London Gatwick.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIY positioned London Heathrow - London Gatwick this afternoon as BA9156 and took up service as BA2233 London Gatwick - Bermuda.

18th January 2012 - G-CIVE BA142 Frankfurt Diversion.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVE operating BA142 Delhi - London Heathrow diverted via Frankfurt this morning having rejected a diversion to Berlin. The diversion appears to be medical.

17th January 2012 - Houston We Have a G-CIVJ Problem.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVJ arrived into Houston today as BA195 however the return BA194 has been cancelled indicating a technical problem with the aircraft.

17th January 2012 - G-YMME Returns to London.

Boeing 777-236ER G-YMME departed Buenos Aires this evening operating yesterday’s BA244 Buenos Aires - London Heathrow using callsign BA9609.

16th January 2012 - G-YMMN Operates Delayed BA83.

Yesterday’s BA83 London Heathrow - Abuja was operated this afternoon as BA83X by Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMN and will return tomorrow as BA82X. 8th January 2012 - G-DOCL BA2776 Gatwick Return.

Boeing 737-436 G-DOCL operating BA2776 London Gatwick - Jersey returned to London Gatwick around 90 minutes after departure. As a result the BA2777 Jersey - London Gatwick was cancelled.


8th January 2012 - G-YMMR Positions to London Gatwick.

Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMR positioned London Heathrow - London Gatwick this afternoon as BA9155.

8th January 2012 - G-DOCY BA2690 Munich Diversion.

BA2690 London Gatwick - Innsbruck operated by Boeing 736-436 G-DOCY once again diverted to Munich today. The aircraft ioperated back from Munich as BA2691 later once passengers have been transferred by road from Innsbruck.

7th January 2012 - G-VIIU Returns to Heathrow.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIU positioned Toronto - London Heathrow today as BA9153. This is the aircraft that suffered multiple bird strikes on approach to Toronto on December 28 2011.

7th January 2012 - G-VIIB BA2152 Barbados Issue.

Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIB operated the Trinidad & Tobago - Barbados leg of BA2152 today but the Barbados - London Gatwick leg has been postponed for 24 hours indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

6th January 2012 - G-YMMA Returns to Heathrow.

Having operated a single London Gatwick - Bermuda rotation after positioning to London Gatwick yesterday Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMA positioned London Gatwick - London Heathrow this evening as BA9154.

6th January 2012 - Gatwick Munich Diversions.

BA2690 London Gatwick - Innsbruck operated by Boeing 737-436 G-DOCN and BA2652 London Gatwick - Salzburg operated by sister G-GBTA both diverted to Munich today due to weather at the destination airports. G-GBTA returned empty to London Gatwick as BA9250 whilst G-DOCN operated back in service as BA2691 with passengers transferred from Innsbruck by road.

6th January 2012 - Antigua Fuel Issue Re-routes.

Due to fuel shortages at Antigua airport tomorrow’s BA2157/BA2156 rotation will now operate London Gatwick - St Kitts & Nevis - Antigua - St Kitts & Nevis - London Gatwick rather than London Gatwick - Antigua - St Kitts & Nevis - Antigua - London Gatwick.

Similarly on 8 January the flight will operate London Gatwick - Punta Cana - Antigua - Punta Cana - London Gatwick rather than London Gatwick - Antigua - Punta Cana - Antigua - London Gatwick.

6th January 2012 - Moscow Non Op.

The BA872/BA873 London Heathrow - Moscow Domedodovo rotation was cancelled today.

5th January 2012 - G-CIVI Sao Paulo Issue.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVI arrived into Sao Paulo today as BA247 from London Heathrow but the return BA246 has been delayed by 24 hours. The flight will operate tomorrow as BA246X.

5th January 2012 - G-YMMF BA2157 Unruly Passenger Diversion.

Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMF operating BA2157 London Gatwick - Antigua - Punta Cana diverted to Terceira Island in the Azores after a male passenger became unruly and tried to enter the cockpit.

5th January 2012 - G-RAES New Product Demonstration Flight.

Boeing 777-236ER G-RAES performed a Cardiff - Cardiff demonstration flight today as BA9116 in order to showcase the aircraft’s new interior to invited guests. This is the first Boeing 777-200 to receive the Boeing 777-300ER style interior. The flight routed north to Belfast then around the coast of Scotland before crossing Newcastle and returning to Cardiff.

5th January 2012 - G-YMMA to London Gatwick.

Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMA positioned London Heathrow - London Gatwick today as BA9152.

4th January 2012 - BA2158 Extra Barbados Stop.

BA2158 operated by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA routed Port of Spain - St Lucia - Bridgetown, Barbados - London Gatwick today rather than the usual Port of Spain - St Lucia - London Gatwick route. Tomorrow’s flight was originally scheduled to operate with the extra stop but will now fly the usual routing.

4th January 2012 - G-CIVV Returns from Johannesburg.

Johannesburg engine failure victim Boeing 747-436 G-CIVV positioned Johannesburg - Lagos - London Heathrow today as BA9179 today. The Lagos stop suggests this may have been a three engined ferry with subsequent inferior performance and range.

3rd January 2012 - G-EUNA Returns to Service.

Airbus A318 G-EUNA positioned London Gatwick - London City this morning as BA9273 before returning to service as BA3 London City - Shannon - New York JFK.

3rd January 2012 - High Wind Diversions and Cancellations.

High winds at Glasgow caused Boeing 767-336ER G-BZHB operating BA1472 London Heathrow - Glasgow to divert to Newcastle this morning. The return BA1477 is therefore cancelled and the aircraft will operate BA1327 Newcastle - London Heathrow.

BA1434 London Heathrow - Edinburgh operated by Airbus A320 G-EUUV returned to London Heathrow having got to within 20 miles of its destination.

BA2936 London Gatwick - Edinburgh operated by Boeing 737-436 G-DOCT similarly made its way back to London Gatwick.

2nd January 2012 - G-CIVH BA287 Glasgow Medical Diversion.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVH operating BA287 London Heathrow - San Francisco was north of Scotland when it turned and diverted to Glasgow due to a medical emergency. As a result this inbound BA286 will operate around four hours late.

2nd January 2012 - G-CIVN Heads Home as BA56X.

Boeing 747-436 G-CIVN operated Johannesburg - London Heathrow as BA56X as a day flight today. This is the delayed BA56 of 31 December 2011.

1st January 2012 - G-BNWN BA68 Delay.

Boeing 767-336ER G-BNWN arrived into Philadelphia as BA69 from London Heathrow today but the return BA68 has been delayed until tomorrow indicating a technical issue.

1st January 2012 - G-CIVN Johannesburg Rescue.

With Boeing 747-436 G-CIVV out of service in Johannesburg sister G-CIVN ferried London Heathrow - Johannesburg this evening as BA9151 in order to bring the stranded passengers back to the UK.

1st January 2012 - G-DOCG Returns from Innsbruck.

Boeing 737-436 G-DOCG positioned Innsbruck - London Gatwick today as BA9253.

1st January 2012 - G-YMMP Returns to Heathrow.

Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMP positioned London Gatwick - London Heathrow this evening as BA9150.

1st January 2012 - BA2683 Dubrovnik Fuel Diversions.

Due to new fuel supplies at Pristina which British Airways has not yet been able to quality check BA2683 Pristina - London Gatwick services will operate via a refuelling stop in Dubrovnik until further notice.

Boeing 767-336ER G-BNWS departed Montreal this evening operating yesterday’s BA94 Montreal - London Heathrow  using callsign BA9607.

16th January 2012 - G-VIIG Operates Delayed BA83.

Yesterday’s BA83 London Heathrow - Abuja was operated this afternoon as BA83X by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIG and will return tomorrow as BA82X. Tonight’s flight has been delayed until tomorrow.

16th January 2012 - G-EUUW BA348 Marseille Diversion.

Airbus A320 G-EUUW operating BA348 London Heathrow - Nice diverted to Marseille today due to Nice airport being closed. The return BA349 was cancelled and the aircraft positioned Marseille - London Heathrow as BA9255.

16th January 2012 - No BA74 Palma Majorca Visit for G-BNLE.

BA74 Lagos - London Heathrow (depart Lagos 15 January) operated by G-BNLE was scheduled to make a technical stop at Palma this morning, probably due to fuel supply issues at Lagos. In the event sufficient fuel was loaded and the flight operated direct Lagos - London Heathrow.

15th January 2012 - G-BNLW BA292 Washington Technical Issue.

Boeing 747-436 G-BNLW operating BA292 Washington - London Heathrow had pushed back from the gate when the aircraft returned to stand owing to a technical issue which we understand was related to the pitot tubes. The flight has been delayed until tomorrow and passengers accommodated overnight.

15th January 2012 - G-BNWS Montreal Delay.

Boeing 767-336ER G-BWNS arrived into Montreal today as BA95 but the return BA94 has been delayed by at least 24 hours. We understand this is due to a crewing issue.

15th January 2012 - G-VIIL Operates Delayed BA83.

Yesterday’s BA83 London Heathrow - Abuja was operated this afternoon as BA83X by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIL and will return tomorrow as BA82X. Tonight’s flight has been delayed until tomorrow.

15th January 2012 - Boeing 737-400 Glasgow Overnight Maintenance Swap.

Boeing 737-436 G-DOCT operated BA2964 London Gatwick - Glasgow yesterday evening but this morning’s BA2953 Glasgow - London Gatwick was operated by sister G-DOCS which has been under maintenance at Glasgow since 21 December 2011.

Dallas-Fort Worth technical issue aircraft Boeing 747-436 G-BYGD departed with yesterday’s delayed BA192 Dallas-Fort Worth - London Heathrow this evening using callsign BA9606. We understand that the technical issue was related to the undercarriage.

14th January 2012 - G-VIIL Operates Delayed BA83.

Yesterday’s BA83 London Heathrow - Abuja was operated this afternoon as BA83X by Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIL and will return tomorrow as BA82X. Tonight’s flight has been delayed until tomorrow.

Boeing 777-236ER G-RAES positioned Cardiff-Wales - London Heathrow today as BA9172 and immediately re-entered traffic as BA239 London Heathrow - Boston. This is the first Boeing 777-200ER to be fitted with the 777-300ER style interior featuring New First, larger screens in Club World, new style World Traveller Plus and World Traveller seating and THALES AVOD in flight entertainment.

Boeing 747-436 G-BYGD arrived into Dallas-Fort Worth today as BA193 from London Heathrow but the return BA192 has been delayed for at least 24 hours indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

Boeing 777-236ER G-YMMI operating the Singapore - London Heathrow leg of BA16 Sydney - Singapore - London Heathrow diverted via Abu Dhabi this morning. This appears to have been a planned diversion as the aircraft tracked straight for Abu Dhabi on departure from Singapore whereas all other Singapore - London flights were using the Northern routing over Afghanistan. We have since been informed that there were water supply issues on board.
