British Airways operate two different configurations of Boeing 747-400 aircraft from London Heathrow.

If you are flying in Economy Class, Premium Economy or Business Class you can tell which configuration you are scheduled to fly on by looking at the seat display in Manage My Booking at ba.com when selecting a seat.

Economy Class

If the seat display shows Economy Class commencing at Row 28 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/52J/36W/235Y Configuration aircraft. These may show as Aircraft Type 74J in Manage My Booking.

If the seat display shows Economy Class commencing at Row 39 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/86J/30W/145Y Configuration aircraft. These may show as Aircraft Type 74S in Manage My Booking.

Premium Economy

If the seat display shows Premium Economy commencing at Row 11 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/52J/36W/235Y Configuration aircraft. These may show as Aircraft Type 74J in Manage My Booking.

If the seat display shows Premium Economy commencing at Row 33 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/86J/30W/145Y Configuration aircraft. These may show as Aircraft Type 74S in Manage My Booking.

Business Class

If the seat display shows Business Class on the main deck running from Row 17 to Row 20 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/52J/36W/235Y Configuration aircraft. These may show as Aircraft Type 74J in Manage My Booking.

If the seat display shows Business Class on the main deck running from Row 12 to Row 22 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/86J/30W/145Y Configuration aircraft. These may show as Aircraft Type 74S in Manage My Booking.

The Upper Deck cabin is identical on both aircraft configurations.

First Class

The First Class cabin is identical on both aircraft configurations.
