The IAG Markets Day Presentation released today envisions for the following British Airways shorthaul fleet across the London Heathrow and London Gatwick based in 2020. The A319 fleet will reduce from 44 to 28 aircraft, the A320 fleet will increase from 65 to 83 aircraft and the A321 fleet will increase from 11 to 23 aircraft. The Boeing 767-300ER fleet will have been eliminated. Assuming there is no further seat densification this will result in the airline having 22,718 available seats across 134 aircraft in the shorthaul fleet in 2020 compared to the 21,713 available seats across 131 aircraft which were available during Summer 2015.
