British Airways A320 G-EUYI Returns from Gibraltar.

Following the bird strike it encountered on 7th June, British Airways A320 G-EUYI departed Gibraltar this afternoon operating the delayed BA493 Gibraltar – London Heathrow and immediately entered the Heathrow maintenance facility. The aircraft had been scheduled to position back to Heathrow but operated this service due to the earlier A320 technical issue at Gibraltar.

British Airways A320 G-EUYI overnighted at Budapest after arriving as BA870 from London Heathrow yesterday, however its scheduled return to London Heathrow as BA865 was cancelled this morning due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Budapest – London Heathrow during the afternoon as BA9275.

British Airways A320 G-EUYI operating BA329 Paris CDG – London Heathrow diverted via London Gatwick this evening. The diversion was caused by airspace closures on the approach to London Heathrow due to a police helicopter operation.
