Following the A380 technical issue at London Heathrow yesterday, British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE operated yesterday’s delayed BA217 London Heathrow – Washington this morning as BA9609. The aircraft will then operate yesterday’s delayed BA216 Washington – London Heathrow in the early hours of tomorrow morning as BA9601 once crew have had minimum rest.

British Airways B777-300ER G-STBE Operates Athens Rotation.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE operated the BA640/BA641 London Heathrow – Athens rotation this morning in order to provide extra capacity following the cancellation of the earlier BA638/BA639 rotation due to an Air Traffic Control strike this morning.

British Airways B777-300ER G-STBE Singapore Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE arrived into Singapore this evening as BA15 from London Heathrow (depart London Heathrow 6th January), however the onward service to Sydney has been delayed at least overnight due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

British Airways B777-300ER G-STBE BA297 Chicago Rockford Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE operating BA297 London Heathrow – Chicago O’Hare diverted via Chicago Rockford this evening due to weather. The Chicago Rockford – Chicago O’Hare sector was operated after midnight by the crew scheduled to operate the return BA296. Subsequently this crew did not have sufficient duty hours to reach London. As a result the return BA296 has been delayed overnight.

British Airways B777-300ER G-STBE BA174 Heathrow Mayday Call.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE operating BA174 New York JFK – London Heathrow (depart New York 26th March) issue a MAYDAY call on approach to London Heathrow this morning due to an overheating electrical smell eminating from the crew rest area lighting system.

British Airways B747-400 G-BNLR Operates BA179/BA182 Rotation.

Following the non-return of Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE from Cardiff-Wales this afternoon, British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-BNLR operated a delayed BA179/BA182 rotation this evening. This flight had been scheduled to be operated by Boeing 777-36NER G-STBB, which was switched to operate BA15 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney. This was the flight on which G-STBE had been scheduled to return to service.

British Airways B777-300ER G-STBE Continues from Singapore.

Following its overnight delay, British Airways B777-36NER G-STBE continued from Singapore this morning operating yesterday’s delayed Singapore – Sydney sector of BA15 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney (depart London 23rd June) as BA15X. The aircraft will only just make curfew at Sydney and will therefore overnight there before operating today’s delayed BA16 Sydney – Singapore – London Heathrow as a day flight BA16X tomorrow.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE operating BA15 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney (depart London 23rd June) arrived into Singapore this evening. However the onward flight to Sydney has been delayed overnight. It is not clear whether this is due to a crew or technical issue.

B777-300ER G-STBE Operates Cairo Service.

The BA155/BA154 London Heathrow – Cairo rotation was operated by Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE today. This is the first recorded appearance of a Boeing 777-300ER on this service.

B777-300ER G-STBE Operates to Accra.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE unusually operated the BA81/BA78 London Heathrow – Accra rotation today. We believe this to be the first use of a Boeing 777-300ER on this service.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE entered service today unusually operating BA189 London Heathrow –Newark. Newark is not normally a Boeing 777-300ER route and this is the first visit of a BA 777-300ER to Newark.

British Airways Boeing 777-36NER G-STBE was delivered Paine Field – Cardiff-Wales as BA9176 today. The aircraft is on lease from GECAS. The aircraft is in Union Flag livery and 14F/56J/44W/183Y configuration and brings the British Airways B777-300ER fleet up to five aircraft.
