Following the Boeing 767-300ER technical issue at Larnaca yesterday, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA positioned London Heathrow – Larnaca as BA9259 late this morning in order to operate yesterday’s delayed BA663 Larnaca – London Heathrow as BA663D.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIA Delhi Bird Strike Delay.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA arrived into Delhi in the early hours of this morning as BA143 from London Heathrow (depart London Heathrow 14th October), however aircraft encountered radome damage due to multiple bird strikes on approach. The return BA142 has been therefore been delayed indefinitely.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIA Operates Rome Rotation.

Following its technical diversion to Frankfurt and return to London Heathrow on 4th August, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA operated the BA548/BA549 London Heathrow – Rome Fiumicino rotation this morning in place of the usual shorthaul Airbus, then returned to normal operations this evening operating BA183 London Heathrow – New York JFK.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIA BA143 Frankfurt Technical Diversion.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA operating BA143 London Heathrow – Delhi diverted to Frankfurt this morning due to fumes on board. After around eight hours on the ground at Frankfurt the aircraft returned to London Heathrow. The flight, and tomorrow’s return BA142 were subsequently cancelled.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIA Philadelphia Cancellation.

British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA operated BA69 London Heathrow – Philadelphia today in place of the usual Boeing 787-8. However the return BA68 was cancelled. This is showing as being due to a technical issue, however it appears to be due to there being no rested Boeing 777 flight crew at Philadelphia to operate the service.

British Airways B777-300ER G-STBF Heathrow Technical Issue.

British Airways Boeing 777-336ER G-STBF was unable to operate BA179 London Heathrow – New York JFK due to a hydraulic leak. Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA operated the flight instead with the smaller capacity leading to some passengers being offloaded. As a result G-VIIA was not available to operate BA199 London Heathrow – Mumbai which was cancelled.

British Airways B777-200ER G-VIIA Returns from Chicago.

Following the technical issue it encountered on 4th May, British Airways Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIA departed Chicago in the early hours of this morning operating the delayed BA294 Chicago – London Heathrow of 4th April as BA9609.
