British Airways A320 G-EUYI Returns from Gibraltar.

Following the bird strike it encountered on 7th June, British Airways A320 G-EUYI departed Gibraltar this afternoon operating the delayed BA493 Gibraltar – London Heathrow and immediately entered the Heathrow maintenance facility. The aircraft had been scheduled to position back to Heathrow but operated this service due to the earlier A320 technical issue at Gibraltar.

British Airways A320 G-EUYG Takes Over BA490.

Following  the earlier technical return of BA490 London Heathrow – Gibraltar to London Heathrow, the flight was subsequenly operated by British Airways A320 G-EUYG. However  the return BA491 has been delayed overnight.

British Airways A320 G-EUUL BA490 Malaga Diversion.

British Airways A320 G-EUUL operating BA490 London Heathrow – Gibraltar diverted to Malaga this morning due to weather at Gibraltar. The return BA491 operated from Gibraltar once passengers had been transferred by road.

British Airways A320 G-EUUI Gibraltar Technical Issue.

British Airways A320 G-EUUI operated BA490 London Heathrow – Gibraltar this morning then encountered a technical issue meaning it was unable to operate the return BA491. Spares and engineers were ferried by sister G-EUYO operating BA492 London Heathrow – Gibraltar and G-EUUI was then able to operate BA491 with a delay of around 5 hours.

A320 G-EUUM Operates New Gibraltar Service.

British Airways launched extra weekend services on the London Heathrow – Gibraltar route today with the inaugural BA492/BA493 rotation being operated by A320 G-EUUM.

Extra British Airways Weekend Gibraltar Flights.

From 28th October 2012 British Airways will operate double daily flight on Saturdays and Sundays on the London Heathrow – Gibraltar route. The new flights will operate to the following schedule:

BA492 London Heathrow 1215 – Gibraltar 1605 Saturday and Sunday

BD493 Gibraltar 1650 – London Heathrow 1850 Saturday and Sunday.

 

Flights will be operated from Terminal 5 by Airbus A320s
