British Airways A320 G-GATS operated BA2560 London Gatwick – Sharm El Sheikh with a two and a half hour delay this morning. However this meant crew did not have sufficient hours to operate the return BA2561 all the way back to London Gatwick. BA2561 therefore operated via Venice tonight for a crew change.

British Airways Boeing 737-476 G-DOCN operated BA2588 London Gatwick – Venice this evening, then encountered a technical issue causing a delay to the return BA2589. Once the fault was rectified the decision was made to position back to London Gatwick as BA9256 as cabin crew were about to go out of hours. No hotels could be found for passengers who were forced to sleep in the terminal.
